Daddy, Their Hero

This is a great post from Mom Logic that I think we can all relate to. We’ve all been there – we spend our days changing diapers, preparing meals, and crawling around pretending to be a puppy dog. Our kids love us, need us, and we have their complete attention. And then, just as quickly as Cinderella’s carriage turns back into a pumpkin at midnight, we become invisible at that magic hour when Daddy comes home from work. My kids hear his truck, and they forget all about Mom and go running to the door. For the next half hour, they are mesmerized by him and want nothing but his full attention.

Check out this article, which is a great take on this sudden change from being our kids’ total focus, to being “just mom.”
