Your House Doesn’t Need To Be That Clean

I think most of us are torn between the image we have in our heads of how clean we think our house should be, and how clean it actually is. When I only had one child, it was much easier to keep my house clean and organized, and it didn’t seem like much of a challenge. Now that I have two kids running around, I make sure my home is comfortable and relatively clean, but I don’t have the same expectations I once did.
A friend once told me (and I’ll never forget it) that when she sees a messy house, what she sees is a mom who must put her kids first. Sure, the kids need clean underwear, lunch needs to be prepared, and dishes don’t load themselves. However, there comes a point where you have to sigh and say that “it’s clean enough.” I read the article below, and I thought it was great. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
