Are You a Morning Person, Or a Night Owl?
Posted in Relationships, Your Health on 10. Sep, 2009
Everyone seems to think that getting up early is the best way to make the most out of their day, but are they right about that? Scientific American recently did a study, the results of which beg to differ. I tend to be a morning person, though I am married to a night owl. I adjust to his schedule and end up going to bed way later than I did when I was single (I was crazy back then, I tell you…). Sometimes I wish we went to bed earlier, but thanks to this study I am rethinking that. Are we onto something? Is staying up until midnight watching “Arrested Development” the way to go?

well, that at least makes me a feel a little better about our late nights. They for sure allow us lots of time to reconnect and be together after the kids are asleep. But I still need 2 cups of strong coffee to be out the door by 8:15. At least our fall schedule seems to be putting us to bed closer to 11:00 than 1:00am.
We are both definitely most alert at night though–the responsibility of kids in school helps a little to turn our lights off a little earlier.
