Now that my kids are getting older, we’re moving away from board books and towards stories that have more substance. Sure, those books with one or two sentences per page (or per huge board…) are fine for a season, but I find my kids like a little bit more these days.

Going to the library can be overwhelming, and checking out Target for the newest releases and most popular books can even be frustrating sometimes. How do you know if a book is good, or whether or not it’s just fluff for kids and their parents? There are some great authors out there, and Simple Mom has a wonderful post that might help you in your search for them.
